Detailed Itinerary of the Safari in Rwanda

Day 1: Kigali city tour and Fly to the Volcanoes National Park

Drop at the International Airport of Kigali where you are picked up by our professional Driver Guide who takes you on a brief city Tour around Kigali City as you visit the Genocide Memorials, National Museums learning about the tragic Genocide in which many lost their dear lives.

 

After the Tour with delicious lunch, continue to the Kigali International Airport to board a domestic flight with Rwanda Air to fly you to the Ubuyanja National Ruhengeri Airport. When you reach here, the driver guide picks you up and transfers you to check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Bisate Lodge.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trek  

4 Days Rwanda Gorillas & Golden Monkey Trekking TourOn the 2nd Day of the 4 Days Rwanda Gorillas & Golden Monkey Trekking Tour, you shall wake up very early morning and have breakfast at the lodge.

Then with   with packed lunch, proceed to the park headquarters.
When you reach here, you are offered a cup of hot coffee, tea, black tea, milk, cappuccino according to your preference then after you are briefed on conduct around the Mountain Gorillas as you drink your tea then are allocated into groups of 8 with a lead park ranger guide.

After the briefing about the Gorillas on the 4 Days Rwanda Gorilla & Golden Monkey Safari, the park ranger transfers you to the starting point where you leave from to enter the green thick forest to trek the Mountain Gorillas of Rwanda for a period of 2 to 6 hours depending on current location in the forest.

 

After a while, you shall meet the Gorillas and in an hour, stay in their presence taking many photos to keep.

After trekking the Gorillas, you shall return to the park headquarters for your Gorilla Trekking Certificate then after proceed to visit the Ellen De Generes Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund Institute where you learn about Dian Fossey who sacrificed her life to save that of the Gorillas that were hunted illegally at the time.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking and visit Gorilla Guardians Village

Enjoy morning breakfast on the 3rd Day of the 4 Days Rwanda Golden Monkeys & Gorilla Safari then get to the Park headquarters for precise briefing on conduct around the Golden Monkeys. Just like the Mountain Gorillas, you reach the headquarters where you are offered a cup of hot tea, coffee, milk, black tea, green tea then after you are met by a ranger guide who briefs you about the Golden Monkeys and the differing communities, as well as their unique way of life in the green forest of Volcanoes National Park.

4 Days Rwanda Gorillas & Golden Monkey Trekking TourAfter briefing, you are led into the green forest vegetation in groups of 8 with a lead park ranger to track the Golden Monkeys for a period of 2 to 4 hours and when you meet them follow them along differing trails as they jump from one tree branch to another as you take many photos to keep.

After tracking the Golden Monkeys, you proceed to visit the Gorilla Guardians Village (Iby’iwachu Cultural Village) where you learn about the return to lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Bisate Lodge.

Day 4: Departure Flight to Kigali

On the Last Day of the 4 Days Rwanda Gorillas & Golden Monkey Tour, have morning breakfast then with all your luggage, proceed to the Ubuyanja National Ruhengeri Airport where you board a domestic flight with Rwanda Air to fly you to Kigali International airport where you board your flight back home. If you still have time, you can transfer to buy some souvenir around Kigali to take with you back home.
