Detailed Itinerary of the Tour

Day 1: Arrival to hotel

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport Uganda, you’ll be greeted and transferred to your hotel. After a welcome briefing, take some time to rest and acclimate to the surroundings or explore the charming town of Entebbe as you go to the Mabamba Wetland Swamp where you get an opportunity to watch various species of birds. You can as well as visit the Entebbe Botanical Gardens then after proceed to check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Laico Victoria Hotel.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

On the 2nd Day of the Affordable 10 Days Rwanda and Uganda Gorilla Wildlife Safari, you shall have morning breakfast then with all stuff embark on transfer to the South West of Uganda via the Kampala-Mbarara Highway to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The Journey takes you a period of 6 to 7 hours with en-route views of the green terrain, birds and lunch. On reaching the Park, check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Buhoma Lodge.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Very early morning breakfast then get to the Park headquarters of Buhoma Sector for precise briefing on conduct around the Mountain Gorillas. You reach here and are welcomed by a park ranger guide who informs you about Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Vegetation terrain and the various wildlife animals you watch here. He will later inform you about the various Mountain Gorilla Families, sectors the park inhabits. Later he shall allocate you in groups of 8 with a lead park ranger guide who leads you into the green forest to trek the Gorillas for a period of 3 to 5 hours depending on location of the Gorillas. After a while, you meet the Gorillas then take many photos of them in a period of one hour. After spending time with the Gorillas, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Buhoma Lodge.  

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early morning breakfast on the 4th Day of the 10 Days Rwanda and Uganda Gorilla Wildlife Safari then later on, embark on drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park located a few kilometers off Bwindi requiring you to transfer for a period of 5 to 6 hours via the Mweya Peninsular. Lunch is en-route as well as views of the Mountain Rwenzori backdrop and after a while you reach the Park and enjoy an en-route Game Drive to check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Bush Lodge.

Day 5: Game Drive and Boat Cruise at Kazinga Channel

Wake up early have breakfast then embark on transfer to the park for a Game Drive along the various tracks watching wildlife animals like African elephant, African buffalo, Ugandan kob, hippopotamus, topi, waterbuck, warthog, giant forest hog, Nile crocodile, leopard, spotted hyena, chimpanzee and lion etc. At mid-day break off for lunch then after lunch proceed to the Kazinga Channel for Boat Cruise where you view schools of hippo, crocodiles, bird species etc. After the Boat Cruise return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Day 6: Game Drive in Ishasha Sector (Tree Climbing Lions)

Have breakfast in the morning on the 6th Day of the 10 Days Rwanda and Uganda Gorilla Wildlife Safari then later, transfer to the Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. On reaching here access the sector then in your 4×4 vehicle and cameras, binoculars start looking for the tree climbing lions in the fig tree branches. You drive along varying tracks and when you meet them relaxing in the fig tree branches, take many photos to keep an adventure so exceptional. After watching the tree climbing lions late in the evening, proceed back to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Ishasha Jungle Lodge.

Day 7: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Delicious breakfast in the morning then with all belongings embark on transfer to cross the Uganda-Rwanda border to the stunning Volcanoes National Park in the Ruhengeri District. Lunch is en-route then after you reach the park and check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Five Volcanoes Lodge.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking at Volcanoes National Park

Today is Gorilla Trekking Day so you shall transfer to the park headquarters for briefing on code of conduct around the Gorillas. Enjoy breakfast then proceed to the park headquarters for briefing and on reaching grab a cup of hot coffee, milk, black tea, green tea then join other travelers for briefing in which the guide informs you about Volcanoes National Park, Mountain Gorillas and their natural forest vegetation habitat. He shall inform you on the code of conduct around the Mountain Gorillas then after allocate you into groups of 8 with a lead park ranger who leads you to the starting point then into the green forest to trek the Gorillas for 3 to 6 hours depending on their location in the forest. After a while you meet the Gorillas and stay in their presence taking many photos to keep. After trekking Gorillas, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Five Volcanoes Lodge.

Day 9: Transfer to Kigali (City Tour)

Wake up today have breakfast then proceed on journey to Kigali for a period of 2 to 3 hours. Lunch is en-route and when you reach Kigali embark on City Tour as you visit the Genocide Memorials, National Museums, National Markets to learn about the tragic Genocide. You can buy some souvenir to take home with you too. After the City Tour, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Hotel Mille Collines.

Day 10: Departure to Kigali

Morning breakfast then embark on departure to the Kigali International Airport to board your flight back home.
